Rev. Boyd Whitehead- Senior Pastor

   
Bro. Boyd was born in Portales, New Mexico and was raised in Roswell, New Mexico. Upon graduation from Goddard High School, he attended Eastern New Mexico University and began a career in retail business with Safeway Stores, Inc. He served in management with stores in Roswell and Artisia, new Mexico.

   
He met his wife Bonnie while in high school. They married on April 26, 1968. The Lord has blessed them with three children (Kim, Lezlie and Dale) and four grandchildren.

   Bro. Boyd is a graduate of Southwestern Theological Seminary. He has pastored three churches: Pidcoke Baptist Church in Pidcoke, TX (1979-1981), Prairie View Baptist Church in Elk City, OK (1982-1988) and Emmanuel Baptist Church in Altus, OK (1988-present). He has had the privilege of leading many revivals in Ohio, Missouri, Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico.




Carolyn Fowble- Secretary

   
Carolyn Fowble was born and raised in Mangum, Oklahoma. She graduated from Mangum High School, attended Draughon's Business College in Wichita Falls, TX and Western Oklahoma State College in Altus, OK. Carolyn and her husband Bert (Bill) live in Altus. they have two daughters, Tina of Ardmore, Oklahoma and Dana of Heidelberg, Germany.

   Carolyn accepted Christ as personal savior in 1953 at Hester Baptist Church in Mangum, Oklahoma. She joined Emmanuel Baptist Church in 1970 and became Church Secretary in 1988. She has been a member of the Oklahoma Southern Baptist Secretary Association for fifteen years, and a member of the National Southern Baptist Secretary Association for twelve years. Carolyn is a member of the Executive Board of the Oklahoma Southern Baptist Secretary Association.



Craig McDole- Minister of Music and Education

     Craig was born in Altus, Oklahoma and has lived in Indiana, South Dakota, Missouri and Florida. He graduated from Altus High School and has attended Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO, Ivy Tech State Community College in Madison, IN, and is currently taking online courses through Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA working on a Bachelor of Science Degree in Religion. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior August 1992 at Camp Elkanah in Nampa, Idaho.

     Craig has been at Emmanuel since December 26, 2004, serving full-time since January 2006. Craig is involved with the BLAST program as van driver and teacher, VBS Director, Worship Leader, Worship Choir Director, and oversees the Sunday School, Visitation and Discipleship Training programs of Emmanuel. Craig married his wife Lindsey in January 2004 and has two children, Tyler and Trinity.





Carla Sharpe- Nursery Coordinator


     Carla was born in Frederick, Oklahoma and was saved and baptized at the age of 12. Her family moved to Altus in 1972, and she graduated from Altus High School in 1978. She has been a member of Emmanuel since 1999.
    
     In addition to being the Nursery Coordinator, she directs B.L.A.S.T., Mission Friends, the younger KFC's, cooks at the Southwest Baptist Campgrounds for Pre-Teen Camp and substitute teaches for Altus Public Schools. Carla believes children are our future and wants to make sure every child has a chance to feel the love of Jesus, and feels privileged to serve the children of Emmanuel and Altus!

     Carla and her husband Barry have been married for 19 years. They have 3 daughters: Amanda, Kristina and Callie; one son-in-law: Richard Raymond; and 2 grandchildren; Alexzander and Odessah Raymond.




Kendall Hurst- Youth Minister


      Kendall was born and raised in Altus, Oklahoma, graduating high school at Navajo High School. He then attended and graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1992. Kendall has been serving as our Bi-Vocational Youth Minister since October 2004. Kendall oversees Disciple Now, Discipleship Training, ACTS, Falls Creek and YEC activities for the Youth group. Kendall and his wife, Teresa have 3 children: Josh, Kassie and Makenzie.



Alex Casias - Associate Pastor of Outreach

     Alex has been working in the ministry since the mid-1980’s, preaching his first message in Mexico City on a missions trip before surrendering his life to the ministry.

     Bro. Casias’ first pastoral position was at Primera Iglesia Bautista in Altus, where he served for 9 years from 1993-2002. His latest work was in starting a Spanish mission in Woodward, OK from October 2007-September 2009.

     Alex has lived in Altus for 41 years, working at Walker Carpets for the past 15 years. He and his wife Gloria have 2 daughters, 2 sons and 2 grandchildren: Angie and son Rytchus; Alex Jr and wife Dawn and daughter Jamie; Cassandra and Matthew.

Reaga Baucum- Office Assistant
